Although not licensed funeral directors, these members of our staff are vitally important toward the operation of our firm. These individuals make it possible for us to professionally coordinate funerals with the quality of service our community has come to expect from us.

TODD ROBERTS- Todd is a native of Ashe County and a graduate of North West Ashe High School and Appalachian State University. A funeral directors assistant, Todd holds a NC Insurance License and has served the funeral industry since 1994. He attends the Bald Mountain Baptist Church and has interests in horticulture and beef cattle. Todd is a member of the North Carolina Cattleman's Association and The Ruffed Grouse Society

Sandy was born in Ashe County the daughter of the late Fred Elliott and Anita Childers Miller. She attended school at Jefferson Elementary and Ashe Central High School. She attended Wilkes Community College. Sandy is a licensed cosmetologist and was the co-owner of "The Gap" hair salon in Jefferson for over twenty years. She has two children, Brent and Brittany and two lovely grandsons Blake and Jackson. Sandy is a member of the Beaver Creek Christian Church.

JEFF VENABLE- A Native of Ashe County, a graduate of Northwest Ashe High School and Stratford Community College. Jeff is married to Becky Pless Venable and resides in the Bina Community of Ashe County. Jeff has served in the funeral business since 2003 as a funeral directors assistant. He has also served as a route delivery driver for Sunbeam Bakery and Dr. Pepper Bottling Co. of West Jefferson. Jeff is a member of the West Jefferson Church of Christ. He is a member of the Lansing Vol. Fire Department where he currently serves as assistant chief and department chaplain. He also serves as president of the North Carolina Chapter of the American Truck Historical Society.

DANIEL R. JONES- Is a native of Ashe County and a graduate of the Elk Land High School. D.R. has served in the funeral profession since 1994 as a funeral directors assistant. Prior to entering funeral service, D.R. was a supervisor for the Sara Lee Knit Products. He is married to Betty Severt Jones and resides in the West Jefferson area. He is an active member and serves as a Deacon at Midway Baptist Church. He is also a member of the NC and National Christmas Tree Association.

REV. LARRY SHEPHERD - A native of Ashe County. Larry has served in the funeral profession for
over 22 years. He started in funeral service working with David & J.D. Boone in the 1980's. Larry is
the pastor of the Long Branch Baptist Church in Lansing. He enjoys traveling, fishing and gardening.

Glenn was a supervisor at Gates Rubber Company and retired in Spring of 2008. Glenn is a dedicated husband and father and enjoys spending time with his family. In his spare time he also enjoys farming and camping.

Linda Bowers Ball. He is an active member of Friendship Baptist Church.

JOHN ELLEDGE-John is a Wilkes native. He retired from being a State Highway Patrolman, where he
served several years here in Ashe County. He resides in Crumpler with his wife, Marsha. He has two
daughters and a son, also a grandbaby on the way. He is the pastor of Liberty Grove Baptist Church.

BRITTANY LAWRENCE-Brittany is a native of Ashe County. She is the daughter of Talmadge Lawrence and Sandy & David Boone. She is a graduate of Ashe County High School and Wilkes Community College. Brittany received her Associates Degree in Medical Assisting. In her spare time, she loves spending time with friends and family and riding motorcycles.
