Ronald Ervin Kemp, age 76, of Creston died Friday, January 22, 2010 at Ashe Memorial Hospital in Jefferson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 30th at 2:00 P.M. at the Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Mitchell officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. prior to the Memorial Service. Ronald was born in Ashe County on Saturday, November 25, 1933 to the late Roy Clarence and Beatrice Estella Riley Kemp. He is survived by his wife, Mary Wilson Kemp, of the home; a son, Danny Kemp and wife Kathy of Whitehouse, Texas; two daughters, Allison Kemp Sullivan and husband Glen, of Creston, Sherry Kemp and husband Steve Smith, of Boone; two brothers, Grant Kemp and wife Joanne, of Warrensville, Ralph Kemp and wife Teresa of Concord; three sisters, Mildred Parker of Hickory, Betty Painter and husband Gene, of Creston and Norma Kemp of Creston; also surviving are two granddaughters, Chloe Sullivan and Abby Sullivan, both of Creston; three grandsons, Jamie Kemp, Danny Kemp Jr., Kenny Kemp, all of Whitehouse, Texas; seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The family respectfully requests no food please.
