Funeral Service: Wednesday, February 08, 2012 11:00 AM Big Laurel Church Of Christ In Christian Union, Creston, NC Visitation: Tuesday, February 07, 2012 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Boone Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, West Jefferson, NC Interment: Johnson Family Cemetery, Creston, NC  click to view photoalbumBiographyMrs. Martha Elena Osborne Johnson, age 85 of Creston passed away Sunday morning, February 2, 2012 at her daughters home.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 11:00am at Big Laurel Church of Christ in Christian Union with Rev. Darrell Graybeal and Rev. Mike Farmer officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in the Johnson Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from 6-8pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnson was born in Ashe County on Monday, June 7, 1926 to the late Fieldon and Danford Price Osborne. She is survived by two sons; James Johnson of Creston, and Michael Johnson and wife Shelia of Creston; a daughter; Mildred Graybeal and husband Darrell of Creston; Three brothers; Earnest Osborne of Creston, Dale Osborne of Creston, and Clay Osborne of Mountain City; Eight grandchildren; Lena Roland of West Jefferson, Lynn Farmer and husband Anthony of Creston, Kenneth Graybeal and wife Nancy of Roaring River, Kimberly William and husband Shannon of Marion VA, Daniel Graybeal and wife Michelle of West Jefferson, Deborah Hess and husband Thad of Jefferson, Charles Johnson and fiancée, Madison South, of Jefferson, and Andrea Johnson of Creston; Twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
